Getting the Most Out of Google Scholar

• This workshop will elaborate on the difference between searching in Google Scholar and academic databases, demonstrate how to use Google Scholar’s Advanced Search, and explain how to connect your library access to Google Scholar

2024 MIND IN VITRO UNDERGRADUATE SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM

• Application deadline: Monday, April 1st 
• Event Date: Tuesday, May 28th – Friday, August 2nd
• Illini Union | A, B, C, South Lounge and the 2nd Floor
• Undergraduate students in the program will work with faculty mentors and graduate students on topics related to the Mind in Vitro Expeditions in Computing Project.  
• They will participate in Illinois summer research program activities, including networking and social events, weekly lunch and learn seminars covering topics such as research skills, presentation skills, information about graduate school, including applications, career opportunities, etc.

ADV 478:Psychology of Advertising

• Second-eight week (Pot B) course
• Designed to familiarize students with theory and research at the intersection of advertising and psychology
• Focusing on: basic research methodology, the emergence of trends, attitudes and persuasion, human and brand personality, cross-cultural advertising, implicit consumer cognition, judgment and decision-making, and others.

Research Support Grant

• Deadline: Monday, March 11th | 11:59 p.m.
• This grant provides students from all disciplines with the funds necessary to conduct research or creative projects during the academic year both on and off campus (including summer terms)
• Grants will be up to $2000 and cover research travel costs, living expenses incurred during academic breaks, and materials or other ancillary costs
